The arrival of the spirit to earthIf we analyze the teaching enclosed in the previous theme, we can understand the importance for the incarnated spirit to be truly prepared for when the moment arrives to abandon his matter, making more natural the detachment from it without ties as well as the free return to the spiritual valley where he belongs. But, now I would like to ask you: Have you detained for a moment to meditate what it means for a spirit to incarnate in a matter, to leave the valley of harmony and infinite love, to come to this one which we sadly know it as the Vale of Tears? We weep for those who leave, and to the contrary, when we hear about the coming of a being to earth, we rejoice without being aware that at the same time that the arrival of that baby signifies the blessing and happiness of a family, a new being in whom to place our hopes and illusions, for that spirit, in addition to a new opportunity to restitute, learn and evolve, it signifies the temporary resignation to his liberty, the exile, the arrival to a world where the law of the strongest prevails, a place ruled by limits, time and space; where he will have to face a constant struggle of thoughts and ideas, where passions palpitate and hatreds collide, where minds vibrate disturbed by materialism, and where many human beings navigate in darkness and desolation. This is the reason for which the spirit, prior to seeing the light in this world, needs to have a preparation period to adapt. Our Father has explained in various teachings that the spirit takes possession of his matter within the maternal womb when his most important functions have been completed; in this manner the spirit has the opportunity to perceive the environment which surrounds him, and assuming the control of his sensitive faculties, begins to live in the matter, months before birth.
"It is necessary for you to know that the spirit, before incarnating, has had a vast preparation, since he is to remain subjected to a long and sometimes arduous test. However, thanks to that preparation, he is not disturbed on penetrating into this life. He closes his eyes to the past, in order to open them to a new existence, and in that manner, from the first instant, he adapts himself to the world to which he has arrived". T. 257:20
That time which the spirit awaits before seeing the light of the world, serves him to reflect, to meditate aided by the voice of the conscience that in that period manifests himself in plenitude within the spirit and remains alive in it during the first years of his stay on earth. For this reason the Divine Master said that if we were not like children, we could not enter the kingdom of heaven, because when the spirit is incarnated in a new being during the first years of his life, it shares the candidness of his matter, and is always near to the voice of his conscience, but as time goes by, the spirit forgets about his true essence and stops listening clearly that internal voice that always dictates the path of goodness. "In spite of how many debts and stains that a spirit may have, when he lives in childhood, his matter shares its purity and innocence with him. In those instants, it is when the spirit needs all kinds of help in order not to deviate from the path." T 118:2 It is good that man rejoices when God concedes him the incarnation of a new spirit that enlarges his family, because in that moment, upon converting ourselves in material parents we can understand somewhat the happiness which signified to our Heavenly Father having created each one of His children, and we feel closer to Him; but, along with rejoicing and celebrating, it is necessary to think about the respect that we owe to that being which has just incarnated, that we remember what it means for a spirit to leave the spiritual valley, our Father's bosom. It is important to meditate in the aid that the incarnated spirit requires not to deviate from the path; while the example we give is clear and elevated through our acts, words, thoughts and deeds from his first years, his development will be easier and his future will be illuminated by faith and spirituality. "The spirit, while living in the infancy of his flesh, needs the help of the elders because the flesh is too weak to support him. He requires tenderness, so that his heart does not become hardened, and he also needs examples and teachings to develop and strengthen him until the time comes to manifest himself". T. 118:5
"Disciples: Let My Doctrine infiltrate in the children of today . All who have understood My word, must prepare their little ones with elevated ideas and apart all evil from their hearts. Sow in them the seeds of good that is spirituality, and as such, when these children have the sufficient capacity to understand the strength of My Doctrine, they will not hesitate in their path, to the contrary, their step will be firm and nobody will be able to deceive them". T. 208:59
