Some Things Don't Come EasyJust as it happens with wordlike skills, the spiritual gifts are only developed by using them, not just once in a blue moon, but constantly, with persistency... and with passion. Oh, yeah... you read right: passion. When you mention this word, many good folks instantly associate it with bad things, with lower instincts, giving it a sinful meaning. But think: if this was true, how come the final days of Jesus that started with the resurrection of Lazarus and ended in that sublime act of supreme love, the Crucifixion, are called "The Lord's Passion"? Because that is exactly what He taught us with His example, the elevated passion of good love. As you have seen, there are people that have developed their spiritual gifts only to dedicate themselves to make money or to gain power over the people; they reached that development because they put passion into it, although this was not a higher passion, it was a lower one. We must do it differently. Guided by our love to the needy, the sad, the poor and the sick, we must dedicate the best of us to the further development of our spiritual gifts (healing, prophecy, analysis, spiritual vision, intuition, inspiration, etc.) so we may be able to help in the Divine Master's Work, which is the redemption and salvation of humanity. If you put limpidity in your heart and mind, if you persist one day and the next too, if you don't dismay because the outcome still isn't what you expected, then only good things will happen in any time soon. It is not easy, but with perseverance and with passion, elevated passion, we can make it happen.
