The force of an ideal

From the beginning of time, men have been moved by an invisible force that has led them to accomplish the most difficult tasks, even those that seemed impossible. That force which has driven man's destiny is called: an ideal.

When the spark is ignited in man by his yearning to do good unto others, for brotherhood and mutual aid, that ideal translates to blessings for all. It is the example of the people of Israel that in the First Era, guided by the light of Moses, and having as an ideal to worship the true God, were able to accomplish their freedom, develop their gifts, conquer the promised land, and the direct communication with the Celestial Father.

It is also the example of those Apostles of the Second Era that, following the steps of their Master, humble and without being concerned about their lack of worldly knowledge, embraced as an ideal the purpose to spread throughout the world the divine teachings, even if on many instances, they had to sacrifice their own lives.

In humanity's history there has always been men and women who have fought for elevated ideals, and they have always been called dreamers and insane, but we must recognize that thanks to those few idealists our world changes, moves, evolves and grows.

There are spirits whose will and spiritual force allows them to carry out great missions, others that accomplish smaller missions, but not necessarily less important. Before our Father's eyes all missions have the same value.

"Be idealists, brethren, and thus there will be no stumbling in the journey superior to the force of your ideal, there will be no pitfall to discourage you, or test to defeat you in the path."

"You will certainly have moments of uncertainty, temporary disorientations, tests that will make your spirit and matter shiver, but no blow will be able to defeat you, because the spirit that rises with an ideal never falls again." The Guardians. T. 63: 15-16

Two types of ideals exist: Those that are linked to the maneuvering of human power, the domination of one over the other, the development of instruments and sciences that control the future of beings through destruction, fear and death; those ideals in which pride makes some think that they can control time, nature, and even life. Those are selfish ideals, not human, lacking love, and as such perishable.

The other ideals are linked to goodness, to the love of one for another, and to the accomplishment of great spiritual missions; those that are based on the development of good sciences which benefits mankind, in the luminous ideas that take well being to people elevating their spirits and their lives. Those ideals are the ones linked to the spirit. Its print cannot be erased and its benefits are eternal.

"Live for an elevated ideal. Make your spirit recover its strength and energy in the accomplishment of its mission. Upon exercising my Doctrine, working for humanity's well being your spirit shall be forged, you will rejoice as well as suffer, and you shall know the value of faith and love". T.361:9

He who has no ideal in life does not truly live and closes his doors to the light of knowledge. He conforms himself with whatever reaches him first, apathetic to progress and evolution; allows time to go by and remains still without realizing that such indifference makes him hard and insensible, leading him to be uncaring not only for the destiny and well being of his brother, but not even his own.

Instead, when men have elevated ideals, they open to their understanding the doors of the Divine Arcane that allow to obtain the necessary knowledge to come out successfully from all tests and accomplish to reach what was desired in the human as well as the spiritual level.

Those whose ideals are based on selfishness, unmeasured ambition, or for purposes of obtaining power or recognition, those whose intentions are to pass on to history without caring for damages that his actions may have caused to others. These sooner or later shall have to reap the fruits of their low ideals, which shall be suffering, loneliness, war and destruction.

The day in which humanity achieves for its ideals to be inspired in love and in the compliance with the Divine Laws, instead of being moved by the impulse of free will, that which was prophesized will be complied as well as what our Father has delivered to us in the Third Era:

"You will once again see the clear skies and the fertile lands; the waters of the flowing currents will again be pure, and the ocean will be merciful. There will be fruit on the trees and flowers in the meadows, and the harvest will be abundant. And man, who will have been purified and be healthful, will again feel worthy and will see his pathway prepared for his ascension and return to Me".

"Everything will be clean and unblemished from its very beginning, so that he may be worthy to possess the new era that is drawing near, for I shall lay the foundation upon firm ground". T. 351:68, 69.
