The Spiritual MeditationThe word meditate derives from the latin word "meditatus", which means to put remedy, find the answer to a dilemma. Meditation is the act of meditating, it is the act of resolving that which is important.
"I bless those who are renouncing
what is external to enter into meditation,
into love and into an inner peace,
because they are realizing that peace
is not acquired from the world,
but rather that you can find it
within yourselves."
"I say to you that anyone who, for an
instant, is able to experience the
happiness of feeling free to meditate,
to scrutinize and to practice, will
never again return voluntarily to his
captivity, because his eyes have already
beheld the light and his spirit was
exalted before the Divine revelations."
"I say to you, that you cannot believe
in all that, because you have not wanted
to analyze the meaning of My Word or of
My works. If you would only dedicate a
little of your time to spiritual
meditation, you would attain great
inspirations and you would obtain
wisdom.."
"If you learn to meditate for a few
moments every day and your meditation
was about the spiritual life, you would
discover an infinity of explanations and
you would receive revelations that you
would not obtain through any other way."
The Third Testament
The meditation that our Father speaks to us about in His
teachings, which is the spiritual one, is quite different
from that practiced by men following very ancient
philosophies and theories.
It is not that this kind of meditation isn't useful to attain certain purposes, like quieting the matter or bringing some degree of sensibility to the higher or lower senses of the matter; in fact this kind of meditation actually can be very rewarding and beneficial... but true spiritual meditation serves a higher purpose than the simple search of personal calmness or the mere ilumination of the ego. It consists, by the contrary, of the abandonment of that ego, the "me myslef" to go, instead, in search of the everything, of the "us". It is by way of spiritual meditation that we reach wisdom.
